Action Plan
The hydrometric network uses different methods to measure water levels. One method involves the use of wells constructed with creosote treated wood. As scientific understanding of creosote evolved it was discovered that sources treated with these chemicals may adversely affect the environment. In order to correctly assess its liability at each site, WSC plans to investigate hydrometric stations that used wood treated with these chemicals. The hydrometric network uses different methods to measure water levels.
