Context
This directive supports the Policy on Communications and Federal Identity, issued pursuant to section 7 of the Financial Administration Act. Under the policy, the communications function is the responsibility of the head of communications of the department.
This directive describes key requirements for heads of communications, as well as the roles and responsibilities of Privy Council Office (PCO), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Service Canada, Global Affairs Canada, and Library and Archives Canada.
