  The information in the Employee status reporting application is collected under the authority of the Canada Labour Code-II for the purposes of occupational health and safety and the Financial Administration Act for the purposes of managing human resources. Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) will use the information collected to support departmental efforts in fulfilling its duty to provide and maintain a healthy and safe workplace environment. Information may be used to support the administration of employee attendance and leave, as well as in support of business continuity management functions. A summary of information at the aggregate level will be disclosed to the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer for reporting overall impacts to our workplaces and workforce as the pandemic situation evolves and help to inform our decisions moving forward.

  The collection of Employee status reporting information is mandatory, as required by the Canada Labour Code. This information is collected to ensure the safety and security of our overall workforce, Failure to comply may result in consequences. Personal information will be protected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Act and as described in standard Personal Information Banks PSE 907 (Occupational Health and Safety), PSE 903 (Attendance and Leave). Under the Privacy Act, individuals have rights to request access to and correction of their personal information.
